Psalm 37:4 speaks to me deeply: "Take delight in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart."
I rarely refuse a delightful nibble of chocolate. And coffee? A mere whiff of a freshly brewed cup can change my mood from disgruntled to delighted in an instant. But nothing on earth delights me to the core like a daily DIG in the Word of God. Over the years, I have come to realize that the deepest desire of my heart is to KNOW, to LOVE, and to BETTER UNDERSTAND GOD. What a delight to listen to the Spirit's nudges and discover "nuggets of truth" in Scripture. Since I firmly believe Truth is Good Food, it thrills my soul to serve up these "nuggets of truth" hot and fresh to a group of hungry sisters at a ladies' day or retreat! Since 2001, I have been blessed to speak on many different topics. Below you will find a list of some of my favorites. If you have a different topic in mind, let's brainstorm. I welcome the opportunity to speak at YOUR next event. In fact...it would be my DELIGHT!

CHOOSE PEACE IN THE CHAOSBehold the power of Colossians 3:15: "Let the PEACE of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to PEACE. And be thankful." Jesus Himself is our PEACE. Do we live as if we believe that truth? Imagine a world in which the body of Christ chooses to be thankful. Oh, what a world it would be! This theme is all about voices and choices - choosing PEACE in the chaos...one choice at a time.

JOY BEYOND MEASURETheodore Roosevelt wisely observed that "Comparison is the thief of JOY!" In this session, we will become intimately aware and learn to beware of "Compare & Despair." We will discuss how to banish this deadly habit from our relationships. We will ponder the liberating life lesson Paul teaches in 2 Corinthians 10:12: "When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise."

TRANSFORMING OUR HEART SOILIn the Parable of the Sower, Jesus invites us to dig a little deeper into the HEART of the matter…specifically, the condition of our heart soil. The seed in the parable represents God’s Word. The four types of soil symbolize four distinct heart responses to God’s Word. We are called to be Seed Sowers, not Soil Samplers! Jesus gives some very down-to-earth (pun intended) guidance for those of us wishing to be TRANSFORMED by His Word! The question is: Can you DIG it?

RIPPLES ON THE WATER"Drop a pebble in the water, just a splash, and it is gone. But there are half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on." INFLUENCE. Like it or not, someone is watching. Someone is listening. Is it possible to tame our tiny tongues? James, the half-brother of Jesus, has much to say about this topic! The "stones" we choose to skip across the water leave a lasting impression. Words kill. Words heal. We must taste our words before we serve them. Christian Sister, Mother, Daughter...we're making ripples on the water!

HOSPITALI - TEA
This topic truly "hits home" with me! When welcoming others to my world, it's important to check my motive: Is my desire to IMPRESS or BLESS? These words from the apostle Peter pack a punch: 1 Peter 4:9: "Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling." Would you care to share a SPOT of hospitali - TEA that is "grumble free" and good to the last drop? Let's discuss specific ways to fill our sisters' cups all the way UP by building them up according to their needs (Ephesians 4:29).
